Posnick Sensei is a dedicated instructor committed to sharing Aikido philosophies on and off the mat. He currently holds the rank of Sandan (3rd-degree black belt).
Posnick Sensei’s Aikido journey began in 2001 at the University of South Florida. Here, he immersed himself in the art under the instruction of Guy Hagen Sensei, Gary Clementi Sensei, Daryl Schrader Sensei, and others. While there, he rose to become President of the University Aikido Club.
As President, he fostered strong relationships with the Florida Teachers of Japanese Language and the Tampa Bay Natasumatsuri Festival, volunteering his time to organize demonstrations for local school children and the public. After graduating with his Master’s degree in 2005, Posnick Sensei continued serving the club as an Assistant Instructor.
In 2013, he followed his longtime mentor Guy Hagen Sensei and became a founding member of Chuseikan Dojo in Tampa. Under Hagen Sensei’s instruction, he received the rank of Sandan.
Beyond the dojo, Posnick Sensei brings his Aikido training into his professional life as the City of Largo’s Risk & Safety Specialist. He incorporates the principles and philosophies of Aikido into his daily work and into many of the training courses he provides to City employees.
